Two British men are feared dead after two bodies were found in a burnt out hire car they had rented.
Juan Cifuentes, 33, and Farooq Abdulrazak, 37, rented the Toyota RAV4 in Denmark before driving across the border into Sweden.
The car was found on fire on a dirt road in Fosie, Malmo on Sunday evening, with two bodies inside.
Authorities are in the process of formally identifying both bodies but families of the men are fearing the worst.
In a Facebook post by Farooq's friend seen by Express.co.uk, they appear to confirm the death of the London travel agent: "This message written today is with the greatest sadness as we have lost brother Farooq Abdulrazak who sadly passed away on Sunday.
"The death of two British nationals passed away on Sunday from a fatal shooting where they where shot at. The local authorities found his rental car and another friend accompanied shot at and burned in Toyata RAV4.
They added: "Brothers i will be opening a gofund me page and build Farooq a well that will last him for the hearafter."
Police in Sweden have confirmed they are investigating the deaths as a double murder.
