TK Maxx is recalling multiple products over potential fire risks. The retailer is urging shoppers to stop using the items "immediately" and to return them to their local store as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for TK Maxx said the Tek Squad 5000 MAH Portable Power Bank, the Pom 5000 MAH MAGPOWER White and Black Power Bank, and the Poppy 10,000 mAh Power Bank all pose a risk. It was found that the wiring may not be securely attached in some of the units which could lead to overheating or a potential fire.

A TK Maxx spokesperson said: "Recent testing identified a potential issue with the product's internal wiring. In some units, the wiring may not be securely attached.

"As this is a portable product, there's a risk the wiring could become loose during use, which may lead to overheating or a potential fire hazard.

"If you've purchased this product, please stop using it immediately and return to any TK Maxx store. You can get a full refund or replacement. Contact UK - 01923 473561 / customerservice@tjxeurope.com."

The recall affects the following products:

  • Tek Squad 5000 MAH Portable Power Bank sold in various colours between July 2025 and January 2026. Product and receipt ticket codes include 002950, 002951, 002953, 017519, 017521,017522, 022099, and 022100 while model numbers 41251, 41253, and 41259 have also been recalled.
  • Pom / 5000 MAH MAGPOWER White and Black Power Bank sold between July 2025 and January 2026. Product and receipt ticket codes 000869, 008485, 018281, and 584943, as well as model number P2G-Q28-WT are being recalled by TK Maxx.
  • The Poppy 10,000 mAh Power Bank in various Prints (Swan, Leopard, Bow), which was sold between November 2025 and January 2026, is also being recalled. Product receipt and price ticket codes 014852, 014851, and 014853, as well as model numbers PY-UKPBK10M-BW8, PY-UKPBK10M-LP1 and PY-UKPBK10M-SW3 are affected.
