Real reason King Charles issued damning Andrew statement

King Charles has discussed his "profound concern" at allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Buckingham Palace have said. Released on Monday, the statement released by Buckingham Palace shared that the monarch will fully support a police investigation into his younger brother.

The statement was released after Thames Valley Police said they would be assessing claims the disgraced royal allegedly shared confidential data with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking of the statement, the reason behind the King's decision to address the situation publicly has been revealed.

The statement from the palace read: "The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.

"While the specific claims in question are for Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect.

"As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse."

The US Department of Justice released a number of new documents and images last month as part of the Epstein files, some of which mention Andrew.

This included emails sent by the former prince, as well as photographs of him, which appear to show Andrew on all fours leaning over a fully-dressed woman lying on the floor.
