The Princess of Wales was almost straight back to work after her challenge last weekend.

Princess Catherine had a busy weekend last week as she took on the Three Peaks challenge, but this has not stopped her from getting back to work. The Princess of Wales, 44, may have spent the weekend climbing three of the highest mountain peaks in the UK in hiking gear, but it seems that she has already stepped back into her royal shoes.

This is because Catherine returned to work on Tuesday morning with a private engagement. This saw Prince William’s wife hold a meeting at Windsor Castle. This meeting took place on Tuesday morning, according to the official Court Circular.

It saw the royal, in her role as patron of her and Prince William's Royal Foundation, meet with Australian philanthropist Nicola Forrest.

As Nicola is the founder of the Coaxial Foundation and the Minderoo Foundation, one of Australasia's largest charitable organisations, it is likely that the pair had much to talk about, especially when it comes to charity work.

However, no details of the meeting have been made public.

There are also no publicly available photographs of the meeting.

It is likely, however, that the two women would have discussed Australia - a country both William and Catherine seem fond of.

Last year, Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he was "hopeful" the couple would return soon.

Catherine has also hinted that she would like her children to see Australia, with Prince George having been with his parents when he was very young.

It is believed William and Catherine don’t tend to take their children on royal tours anymore as they are all in full-time education, which is the priority for them at this age.
