Meghan Markle launched a food and lifestyle brand named American Riviera Orchard on Thursday as Prince William attended the Diana Awards to honour his mother.
The 42-year-old appears to have "breached" the Megxit agreement she and Prince Harry made with the Queen when they stepped down from royal duties in 2020, a royal expert has claimed.
Meghan introduced herself under her royal title on the ARO Instagram despite not being told the couple could not use their titles for "commercial gain", royal editor Russell Myers explained.
He wrote on X: "If you sign up for info on Meghan Markle's new business venture, you'll be notified about 'products'.
"Clear breach of the agreement by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to not profit off their royal titles, is it not?"
Meghan subscription terms and conditions on her website read: "Yes, I would love to be the first to know about products, availability, and updates from America Riviera Orchard."

Prince Harry 'missing' from Diana Awards leaving fans confused
Prince William gave his speech at the Diana Legacy Awards but there was no sign of Prince Harry leaving fans confused.
William was present at the Science Museum for the event in their late mother's memory, which was meant to "foster, develop and insure positive change" in the lives of young people.
However, despite a tease on social media from the organisers, there has been no update on Harry's virtual appearance as of 5:30am.
After the awards finished, the Diana Award X account tweeted: "But we aren’t quite finished yet… keep an eye out for some very exciting news dropping soon."
