A popular fashion chain has launched closing down sales as four of its stores are set to close on Friday (November 21) and over the weekend. The brand was plunged into administration in August, with over 2,150 jobs put at risk.
The Claire's stores in Halifax, Salisbury, Sheffield and Winchester will shut for good over the coming days. It was previously announced that 145 of the brand's sites across the UK would close while 156 were purchased by investment group Modella Capital. Administrator Interpath Advisory said it had "explored the options available" to save the 145 shops but was left with no alternative but closure.

As reported by The Sun, the Claire's store in Halifax has already closed for good while residents in Salisbury noticed a closing down sale appear at the start of October. The shop will shut on Saturday (November 22), with a sign on the door adding: "It’s not really goodbye. Your closest Claire’s store is now Southampton or Poole."
The Sheffield site will also close on Saturday with a 60% closing down sale currently on offer. Meanwhile, the Claire's in Winchester declared "everything must go" ahead of its closure on Friday, with a 70% sale launched.
A sign on the door of the store states: "We’ll be ready and waiting (in other locations) with all the best vibes, the hottest trends, and the must-have accessories.”
The rest of the sign read: "We can’t wait to see you soon!"
Claire's appears to be starting with a 40% off flash sale at the stores that are bookmarked to close. This later increases to 60% or 70% in the final days of trading.

Claire's UK arm entered administration on August 13. It came after its US parent company filed for bankruptcy on August 7.
In the UK, Modella Capital stepped in to rescue part of the business. The investment firm managed to strike a direct agreement with Claire’s US owner Ames Watson to keep 156 stores open across the nation.
Modella Capital boss Joe Price said: "As a firm, we strongly believe that this much-loved brand deserves the chance to remain on the high street in the UK and Ireland.
"The issues that Claire’s is facing are significant, and we will need to work collaboratively with all interested parties if our proposed rescue plan is to succeed."
