Nigel Farage hails huge new poll boost for Reform UK: 'The trend is clear!'

Nigel Farage declared "the trend is clear" after another poll boost for Reform UK.

The survey by Find Out Now put the insurgent party in second place with 25%, up one point from the week before.

Reform is just one point behind Labour, which is on 26%, while the Tories are third on 23% in the poll of 5,043 British adults carried out yesterday.

It is the second week in a row that the pollsters have put Reform in second place in their polling.

Last week, the rebranded Brexit Party overtook Sir Keir Starmer's party for the first time, scoring 24% and 23% respectively, while the Conservatives were first on 26%.

But this week Labour and the Tories have swapped around in first and third place, while Reform has remained second.

Mr Farage wrote on social media platform X: "The trend is clear."

Reform chairman Zia Yusuf insisted that Reform "has all the momentum in British politics".

Mr Yusuf said: "Reform surge to 25% in the polls, a new high in any poll. One point off leading a national opinion poll for the first time."

It comes after billionaire property tycoon Nick Candy defected from the Tories this week in the latest coup for Clacton MP Mr Farage.

Mr Candy, who is married to pop singer Holly Valance, pledged to donate a seven-figure sum and raise millions more in his new role as chief fundraiser.
