Heavy rain will soak most of England on Tuesday as heavy rain arrives at the end of the heatwave in earnest. After days of hot weather warnings, heat related power cuts and extreme temperatures hitting highs of 35 to 40C with little or no rain, Tuesday June 30 will bring the month to a close with rain showers across most of England, Wales and Scotland.
Areas including Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Norwich, Stoke, Nottingham, Wrexham, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, York and Hull are just a few of the major cities which can expect rainfall in the early morning on Tuesday, while Northern Ireland will also be covered by rain showers.
