The UK record for the highest June minimum temperature has provisionally been broken, with temperatures only falling to 23.5C overnight at Bute Park, Cardiff, the Met Office said. This comes as the UK is bracing for another day of extreme heat on Thursday, with the rare red warning issued by the national forecaster.
