Meghan Markle to make major appearance without Prince Harry today - full details

Meghan Markle is set to make a major solo appearance today at a big conference. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, will be one of the speakers at Fortune's Most Powerful Women summit in Washington, DC.

During her talk, which will see her in conversation with Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Fortune Live Media, she will talk about all things business. The subject of discussion is set to be the duchess’ As Ever brand, which she launched earlier this year.

Prince Harry’s wife is also set to discuss the opportunities and challenges of life as a business founder, along with her plans to build a lasting business empire.

The duchess is set to be on stage from 12:00pm until 12:20pm ET time.

Prince Harry is not set to take to the stage, with it unclear as to whether he will be in Washington, DC with Meghan or whether he will be at home with their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, in Montecito.

Meghan’s Washington appearance comes after the couple has just spent several days in New York City attending various events related to Mental Health Day.

This included a gala, where Meghan and Harry were awarded Humanitarians of The Year.

The couple also spent time catching up with friends in the Big Apple, including Ed Sheeran and Serena Williams.

Meghan also paid a solo visit to her friend Gloria Steinem.

Sharing a reel on Instagram of her time in the city with Prince Harry, Meghan said: “Until the next time, NYC - thanks for the memories! (You really know how to charm a gal).”
