Meghan Markle was reportedly "stung" by one thing during her surprise visit to the UK last month. The 45-year-old paid a visit to her husband's home country at the start of July - with their children also joining her.

Prince Harry had arrived in the UK days before his family, with them previously reported not to be joining him. Meghan, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, however, did travel to the UK and attended a meeting with King Charles at Highgrove House on July 10.

According to a source, Harry is now reportedly encouraging Meghan to really embrace the spirit of forgiveness and show love in the way she does best - by sending hampers from her brand As Ever.

As reported by HELLO!, the source said: "He wants her to send family photos, gift baskets and keep the dialogue going the way she was before the visit, but she's just not feeling motivated, which is pretty frustrating for him, to say the least."

They added: "But for Meghan this is all extremely belittling. She didn’t want the red carpet rolled out, just the opportunity to be herself and make her own choices. But that was taken away from her and it’s left a pretty bad taste in her mouth.

"Fact is, Harry isn’t defending her like he used to and that stings.

"She wants and expects a lot more from him in that regard and finds it disturbing and depressing that he’s not putting her first."

According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, Meghan is "intelligent" and understands that she is not popular in the UK - and explains that her focus likely remains on three major areas.

She recently told the Mirror: "I think her eyes are firmly set on their lives in California, their children and her business ventures."

Prior to this last visit, Meghan last visited the UK in 2022.
