Meghan Markle's podcast decoded - as expert spots hidden sign of 'royal status'

Promotion for Meghan Markle's new podcast has began, with the latest in the form of the teaser trailer on all podcasting platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Despite no longer being a working member of the Royal Family, one body language expert claims that there are many signs of "royal status" hidden in the promotion of Confessions of a Female Founder. The first episode is set to be released next month, on April 8.

Speaking on behalf of Casino.org and exclusively for the Daily Express, body language expert Judi James said: "The promo pose and podcast ‘packaging’ is riddled with symbols of royal status and authority."

Discussing Meghan's pose in the promotional poster, which was released earlier this month, Ms James said: "The woman who courted the camera in her early career and who shied from it as a reluctant royal before ‘hugging’ it again during her social media videos is shown regarding it here with something bordering on haughty distain, just as royals and generals through history used to do when having their portraits painted and wanting to look above emotions like vanity.

"The truncated body language in this pose and the deep, powerful blue of her outfit suggests Meghan as a business leader and campaigner again. Her hand is held in a non-specific truncated gesture which is elegant but pointless."

Turning her attention to new two-minute trailer - which was released on March 25 - Judi said: "Over this superior-looking image we get to hear and see Meghan’s voice, blipping away on a sound monitor like a heartbeat on a heart monitor machine.

"The crisp, bouncy, finger-clicking musical soundtrack keeps to a beat that reassures the fans there’s no risk of flatlining from their multi-talented hero.

"Meghan’s vocal tone ranges from giggling, cackling chuckles of naughty excitement to a flirty-sounding invitation to ‘get some girl talk’ and a breathless, silky seductive note and she trails ‘the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses."

Speaking further of the promotion of Meghan's podcast, she added: "The defining terminology during this promo for women in positions of success and power in the business world would be as popular with feminists as garlic is to vampires.

"We are referred to as ‘girls’ doing ‘girl talk’ i.e gossip about relationship status etc rather than the stock market, and ‘Ladies’ as in Meghan’s end rallying cry of ‘Let’s do this ladies!’ suggesting her flock of financial followers will be clad in sprigged gowns and lace gloves. (Hopefully somewhere there is a business podcast for men where the entrepreneurial ‘gentlemen’ are being reassured it will be full of ‘boy talk’ about their marriages etc alongside the City speak.)

"The Meghan Factor is sold to all the fans who adore to follow her life narrative as she reassures them that, along with the tips and techniques from ‘girls’ who have made it big, they will hear how ‘through it all I’m building a business of my own."
