Meghan Markle has been largely praised for the decision to postpone the launch of her new Netflix series, but one move she made in the past has led to criticism.
Taking to his latest column for the Daily Mail, diary editor Richard Eden shared that one source has spoken out to criticise the fact that Meghan "didn't think twice" to go ahead with her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
This comes after sources claimed that it was an "easy decision" for Meghan to make to postpone the launch of With Love, Meghan until March 4.
The eight-part cooking and lifestyle series was originally set to air today, January 15. However, follwoing the devastation of the recent wildfires in LA, a decision was made to delay the launch.
An insider recently told PEOPLE: "Delaying the release of With Love, Meghan was likely an easy decision for her. I don’t think she could imagine putting out a show centred on joy and hosting when so many people in her home state no longer have homes to host people in."

Mr Eden wrote: "One friend of the royals pointed out to me this week that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allowed their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey to be broadcast in 2021 even though Prince Philip was seriously ill in hospital."
Quoting the source, he wrote: "Meghan seemingly didn't think twice about going ahead with the Oprah interview, did she?"
Meghan's decision to postpone her show has also led sources to wonder if it was done for commercial gain, writes Mr Eden.
In his article, quoting sources, he wrote: "Would people really want to watch a glossy TV show about someone's luxury lifestyle when thousands of Americans have seen their homes and lives destroyed?"

However, after news broke that a delay decision had been made, many fans took to social media to praise Meghan.
Taking to X, one fan commented: "She has a heart of gold! We'll be sat until March 4th and respect the Duchess' request! Please continue to say a prayer for California!"
Another commented: "This woman is always thinking of others, like she really does have one of the biggest hearts [and is] always thinking of others and their needs first. [watery-eyed emoji] [purple-heart emoji]."
