The M6 in Staffordshire has two of three lanes closed northbound between J15 Hanchurch Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme A500) and J16 Bartomley Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Nantwich, Chester A500) following a collision, National Highways said on January 10.
The partial closure sparked severe delays, with 90 minutes expected to be added to journeys and a six-mile queue.
Emergency services were in attendance at the scene following the collision, National Highways said, as were Traffic Officers of the organisation to help assist with traffic.
