Lidl is urging people to return the bars (Image: Express)
A product sold in Lidl has been recalled - because the allergen information is not printed in English. The batch of Healthy Fit brand Cookies & Cream Protein Bars is being recalled because the label fails to disclose in English that the bars contain milk and soya.
The product poses a potential health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or soya. Lidl is urging people not to consume the bars but to return them as soon as possible. The Food Standards Agency has issued an urgent allergy alert.

The bars, which weigh 60g, are sold in Lidl stores in Northern Ireland. Any bars with a best before date of January 2026 and a batch code of 002851 are impacted by the recall.
Lidl said: "If you have purchased the above product and have an allery or intolerance to milk or soy, we advise you not to consume it.
"Instead, please return the product to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. Lidl wishes to apologise for an inconvenience causes. Any customers with queries or concerns can contact our customer services team."
