Lee Anderson has broken his silence on Sir Keir Starmer in a brutal 13-word statement following his dismissal of the US ambassador, who had ties with Jeffrey Epstein. The Reform MP blasted how, under the "curse of Starmer," the PM had defended two disgraced senior officials this month before they left their jobs just hours later.

Anderson slammed Sir Keir on X in just 13 words, writing: "This PM cannot be trusted to run a bath, let alone a country."

He continued: "The Curse of Starmer. At the last two PMQs Starmer has rigorously defended both the former Deputy PM and the former Ambassador to America. Within 48 hours of his ringing endorsements both were gone."

The Ashfield MP added: "Imagine going for your next job interview and the interviewer asks the question Are you a tax dodger and do you have any close friends who are paedophiles? If yes you can start straight away."

Sir Keir has come under intense scrutiny over Mandelson's appointment.The PM sacked Mandelson on Thursday, which followed shocking emails from Mandelson coming to light in relation to the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

One email stated "your friends stay with you and love you," while the paedophile had been facing charges in June 2008 over soliciting a minor, reports The Sun.

Mandelson had also penned "fight for early release," shortly before Epstein had been sentenced to 18 months in jail after a plea deal with Florida prosecutors.

The Foreign Office statement read: "In light of the additional information in emails written by Peter Mandelson, the Prime Minister has asked the Foreign Secretary to withdraw him as Ambassador.

"The emails show that the depth and extent of Peter Mandelson’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is materially different from that known at the time of his appointment.

"In particular Peter Mandelson’s suggestion that Jeffrey Epstein’s first conviction was wrongful and should be challenged is new information.

"In light of that, and mindful of the victims of Epstein’s crimes he has been withdrawn as Ambassador with immediate effect."

Downing Street has insisted "due process" was followed before Mandelson's appointment.

Just one week prior on September 5, Sir Keir Starmer lost his Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, who resigned after it was found she had breached the ministerial code.

Ms Rayner had failed to pay £40,000 in stamp duty on her £800,000 flat in Hove, which should have been considered to be Rayner's second home. The PM had publicly supported Rayner prior to her resignation.
