King Charles is allegedly "concerned" that his disgraced brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, may not "cope" if he went too hard on him after axing his titles and honours and would end up telling royal secrets, a royal expert has claimed. The former Duke of York saw all his titles, even his princely one, and honours removed by his older brother last week, following weeks of revelations about his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew stepped down as a senior working royal in 2019 due to the scandal, but he still retained his titles and occasionally attended private family events with the rest of the Royal Family. But as new explosive claims were increasingly coming into the spotlight, and ahead of Virginia Giuffre's posthumous memoir's release, Charles took the dramatic step to essentially end his brother's public life. The royal has repeatedly denied all allegations against him.

In addition to losing his titles and honours, Andrew agreed to leave his home in Windsor, Royal Lodge, despite his private tenancy agreement with the Crown Estate, which owns it.

He is to stay at an unknown home at the King's vast Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Now, Tina Brown, the former editor of Vanity Fair and the late Princess Diana's biographer, has claimed that the King will likely not remove all the luxuries from his brother's new life in Norfolk.

She wrote in her Substack Newsletter, Fresh Hell, that Charles is worried that his brother may not "cope" if he was to be punished completely and could end up selling secrets of the Royal Family.

She said: "Charles, I am told, is not looking to punish his pampered brother to the point, he says, that he can’t 'cope'.

"If Charles were not to pay his brother's bills and ensure a certain level of comfort, Andrew would have only his secrets to sell," the expert penned in the newsletter.

She added that the King is "more aware than anyone that Andrew has been served all his life by a cook, a butler, and a valet who used to accompany him on foreign trade trips, lugging a six-foot-long ironing board through the lobby of five-star hotels".

Despite this, a source previously said that the disgraced royal promised the monarch that he won't "pull a Prince Harry" and write an explosive memoir about the Firm.

The Duke of Sussex sparked outcry following his and Meghan Markle's bombshell exit in 2020.

The couple went on to give a handful of interviews, including their explosive Oprah Winfrey one in 2021, while Harry also released an explosive memoir about his life within the Royal Family.

But a source told The Sun last month: "Andrew won’t write a book like Spare. He has promised the King."

The outlet noted that the same cannot be said for Sarah Ferguson, Andrew's former wife, who he still lives with at Royal Lodge, as she has been "inundated with book offers".
