Police have charged the suspect in the Golders Green stabbings which saw two people knifed in the street in north-west London. Essa Suleiman, 45, from Camberwell in south London has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place.

Mr Suleiman is also charged with attempted murder in relation to a separate incident on the same day, April 29, in Great Dover Street. He remains in police custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 1).
