A beloved UK restaurant chin has issued a message to its customers as all its branches close. Premier Inn owner Whitbread announced plans in April to cut 3,800 jobs. It also launched a new five year strategy aimed at cutting costs by £250million. Bosses have decided to shut all of the firm's 106 Beefeater sites and axe Brewers Fayre and Bar + Block. Brewers Fayre said in an email to customers on Monday: "We want to say a huge thank you for your custom at our Brewers Fayre restaurants.

"As you may have seen, we have recently announced changes to our business, which is resulting in the closure of our Branded Restaurants. This means that on Monday September 7 2026, your local Brewers Fayre and all other UK & Northern Ireland Brewers Fayre will close."
