Air Transat has cancelled six flights that were scheduled for today as the countdown to a Dec. 10 pilot strike looms at the height of the holiday travel season.

Transat A.T. Inc., the travel company that operates the Montreal-based airline, announced the cancellation of six flights Dec. 9 on its website, with fewer than 24 hours remaining before the possible strike.
