and have been celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary today, April 29, and the Prince is likely to have showered his wife with affection.

It is not known if the couple exchanged gifts, however in the past, William has given Kate many special items of jewellery to commemorate certain occasions.

Back in 2012, the same year of the London Olympics and Kate's 30th birthday, she received a stunning Olympic Cartier set thought to be worth around £121,000.

The set consists of a long gold necklace featuring the five Olympic rings as diamond-studded hoops and matching earrings, which Kate has worn on many occasions since.

Diamond expert at UK retailer Steven Stone estimated the eye-watering combined worth of the necklace and earrings, also seen at a reception in New York in 2016.

Maxwell Stone said about the design: "To honour the spirit of the 2012 Olympic Games, Kate Middleton graced the occasion with her own dazzling tribute – adorning herself with an exquisite necklace and matching pair of earrings reminiscent of the iconic Olympic rings.

"Kate’s necklace made its debut during an Olympic-themed exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, an event close to Kate's heart as a patron. Crafted from 18-carat gold, it features a dazzling array of pavé diamonds, complimented by three intertwined circles of pink, yellow, and white gold.

"When she stepped into the Olympic Stadium for the grand opening ceremony, Kate was wearing the diamond-studded earrings. Crafted to mirror the illustrious Olympic rings, they completed her ensemble with elegance and grace."

"With an estimated combined value of £121,000, these timeless pieces serve as both a testament to royal elegance and a celebration of sporting excellence."

The pair have passed the day quietly due to Kate's cancer treatment, however, they shared a new picture from their wedding day on their social media to mark the occasion.
