New Mexico's attorney general on Wednesday filed a lawsuit accusing Jeffrey Epstein's long-time personal lawyer and accountant of facilitating Epstein's sex trafficking operation.

The suit alleges that the attorney, Darren Indyke, and the accountant, Richard Kahn, helped finance and conceal Epstein's sex trafficking, which included the abuse of girls and young women at his Zorro Ranch in Santa Fe County, New Mexico.

"Jeffrey Epstein did not operate alone, and his death does not end the pursuit of accountability for the people who helped make his crimes possible," said Attorney General Raul Torrez in a statement.

"The allegations in this lawsuit describe a network of people and financial arrangements that helped sustain and conceal the abuse of vulnerable girls and young women, including here in New Mexico," Torrez said. "Those who allegedly enabled this exploitation should not be allowed to profit from it while survivors continue to live with its consequences."

Torrez, at a press conference Wednesday, said that his office is continuing a criminal investigation of Epstein's sex trafficking operation. No criminal charges have been filed in connection with that probe.
