Kerri Einarson won her seventh Grand Slam of Curling title and first in two years, beating South Korea's Team Kang 6-3 in the women's final at the Co-op Invitational in Victoria on Sunday.
Einarson's new-look rink never trailed en route to its first Grand Slam title together. Her team from Gimli, Man., consists of third Shannon Birchard, second Karlee Burgess and lead Jocelyn Peterman.
Team Kang, skipped by Kim Kyeong-ae, tied the game at 2-2 in the third end after Einarson scored singles in the first two, but the five-time Tournament of Hearts champion responded by scoring two with her final shot in the fourth.
Einarson added another deuce in the sixth after holding Kim to a single in the fifth.
